San Diego Coast Guard City Events

SDCGC partners with businesses and the community to offer activities for active duty Coasties & their familes who are stationed in San Diego. Many of the events have limited space, so be sure the sponsor keeps watch for all-hands emails from Sector CMC about opportunities and registration.

2024 Events

  • Stationed in SD and expecting a baby? Coast Guard City is excited to partner with Armed Services YMCA, Support the Enlisted Project, American Red Cross & USO to help you celebrate your new addition. Please email Coast Guard City at SDCoastGuardCity@gmail.com with your expected due date & gender of the baby, and we will drop off a basket full of goodies for your little one to your command.

  • We have San Diego Coast Guard merchandise (clothing & pint/wine glasses) available for a donation at the CGX at Sector. All funds go toward the SDCGC family enrichment program and activities like those listed below.

  • SDCGC was honored to participate in the birthday party for 100 year-old USCG WWII SPAR Gena Fischle

  • SDCGC was honored to participate in the 100-year-old birthday party for USCG WWII Veteran CAPT High

  • SDCGC held a gift card drive and was able to gift restaurant gifts cards to 18 Coasties

  • SDCGC sponsored 3 Junior Enlisted tickets to the 2024 WEST Conference

  • SDCGC was honored to participate in the funeral service for WWII USCG SPAR Elizabeth "Gena" Fischle.

  • SDCGC had an outreach table at the SDYC Cruising Fleet Dinner that featured active duty members who man Channel 16.

  • SDCGC merch was available at the Luke Air Force air show - Glendale, AZ

  • SDCGC was proud to be in attendance at the 1st CG JROTC graduation from Mission Bay High School. Thanks to a donation to SDCGC from WWII CG SPAR Gena Fischle's family, SDCGC provided a perpetual top grad plaque and plankowner plaque to the JROTC program.

  • SDCGC was honored to be awarded the Military Order of the World Wars Bronze Patrick Henry Plaque for community service.
